Last year Italy saw massive labor action in opposition to the genocide in Gaza. A genocide carried out by Israel but aided and abetted by the European Union and most European countries.
In September and October 2025 there were several mass strikes and hundreds of thousands took to the streets. Rank-and-file trade Unions like Unione Sindacale di Base played an important role for these actions.
Meanwhile the Austrian labor movement has seen very little activity in support of the Palestinian people and their struggle for freedom.
Together with a comrade from Italy, who is a member of the Partito Comunista dei Lavoratori, we want to discuss what we can learn for Austria and how we can bring the fight for an internationalist and anti-imperialist labor movement forward.
